"Air Spirit"

This sculpture, "Air Spirit", of a striding man facing the Wallace Monument stands on the Muirside roundabout near Stirling.


It is the second public artwork by sculptor Andy Scott and it was erected in February 2008.


Known as the "wee county" Clackmannanshire punches well above its weight when it comes to public art.

We passed it on our visit to the Cat Rescue in Fishponds this afternoon and we have put a reserve on two cats because we can't decide.

I favour Elvis, a nine month old who has never been outside and "M" favours a huge tabby known as Taz, a very macho 11 year old with a reputation for being a great hunter with an assertive personality. The staff admit he is a bit of a handful.

We have a week to decide.
