Rain Did Not Stop Play

In spit of a short shower at about one o’clock people were still arriving at half past one.
 
We estimated for about four hundred, our ‘Street Champions’ feedback gave us about six hundred so we had a mad panic to get extra space and tables, but come the event we had about four hundred and fifty which meant we weren’t straining for tables.  A mass of umbrellas on a few occasions, but we are British .  .  .    A very successful Street Party.
 
Unfortunately the Spitfire Fly Past got cancelled because of the weather, and we were finally rained off with a down poor at just gone three.
