Blooming thistle

It has been a cloudy day and is now humid, trying to rain.

Went out for lunch with friends to local pub, lovely meal and company. Decided we needed a walk when we came back so did our usual one round the fields. I did a blip recently of a thistle head going to seed. This one is in bloom next to it! They have leaves that are mottled white and green, quite pretty. Decided I needed to stand up today and take usual angle!

Waiting for our car to be ready (new clutch, ouch) so have to stay in for rest of day.
