Rained off

What a day, pleasant enough in itself as we've had the family over, but I'd expected that I could have gone out after they'd left; unfortunately it's been raining steadily since they went home  -   the sort of rain that's quite difficult to accommodate. 

We have a small portico outside the French doors where we sit on those rare occasions when the sun shines, and so that's where I stood when I took this E.B. of the garden;  I suppose the positive way to look at it is that all this rain will do the gardens good.
