For Caroline
Caroline and I have had many deep and meaningful discussions via Facebook, sharing our thoughts on the merit (or otherwise) of many of the photography exhibitions we have seen. So this, Caroline, is for you...
This image represents the life of the poppy: battered by the winds their lives are cut short, fleeting, and as such it is a metaphor for our own lives when seen in the context of the life of the Earth itself ... it's all garbage, of course, and yet so many people get sucked into believing in it, just like the Emporer's New Clothes.
It's a good job we rarely go to exhibitions together. We'd get barred!
