Cookery

This was my second attempt at making Nigella Lawson's Italian Banana Breakfast Bread.  The first time round I was too impatient and did not let the bananas ripen enough, then I used the wrong type of instant coffee because I thought it would not matter, it does.  This time round the result was much more successful.  So while I am faffing about with a cake, the news reports are all about other people going through absolute hell, and it always makes me feel awkward.  I have been on the other side of the coin; I am going through hell and everyone else is just getting on with life.  I am going to a family funeral on Tuesday, and I think these events always makes you stop and think a bit more about what is important.
