A Changing Coastline

We are lucky to have an extensive area of sand dunes along our local coast. They are subject to constant change, sometimes gradual, taking many years and at other times sudden,  as a result of severe weather for example. 
The trees on this shot are fully grown and stand approximately 12 metres in height; as a result wind conditions, sand has been blown inland and inundated the trees by two thirds.
 Over the past twenty years this mound has doubled in height. On the seaward side of this bank of pine trees there is a huge depression where the wind has excavated the sand,  it has been named as The Devils Blowhole.
On a less dramatic note the extra shot is of some local Orchids growing about 500 metres away.
