Last of the roses
I haven't done everything on my list this weekend but I feel satisfied with what I've done.
Today's focus was to sort out what I needed to email my alarm man, so he can put something in writing I can use with EQC. Job done and now it's his turn.
The rest of the beans are chopped back and in the green bin, slug bait applied to protect my young spinach and silver beet plants, and ground prepared to plant more. Cleaning my car or preparing to plant anything in winter usually heralds a severe weather change. You've been warned people ;-)
I still have a few other bits and pieces of paper work to attend to but they may have to wait until another day. Instead I sorted a friend's laptop and telly so they play nicely together. Then I visited a fishing mate in his 80s and his wife. He's a character.
These are the last of their roses. They have the most wonderful scent but sadly I can't remember their name. Along with the scone and cup of tea, I could have stayed for a glass of wine. I might still be there ;-)
The intricacies of my world may not be perfect but I'm blessed with good health, a job I enjoy, and more than most of the world will ever have. It's good to remember that.
