Bill's 'do'
This morning I spent half an hour dead heading in the garden and took some photos as I went! Then I couldn't decide which one to use for my blip, so did a collage.
This afternoon we went to a dear friend's 70th birthday 'do'. I say dear friend and he is, although we've not seen him for some time. In a way, those are the best friends. The ones you can pick up a conversation with as you were continuing it from the day before, but haven't seen them in ages. Bill thought his 'do' was for the close family and was overwhelmed when people from his past kept turning up. One of the granddaughters had put together an amazing video of photos, messages etc. The party had been organised by his three daughters, but The announcement that his 8 grandchildren had clubbed together to buy his present had the tears flowing. All eight of them are taking him on holiday to the New Forest, in a dog friendly log cabin, so that he can take his beloved dog, and they have organised a whole week of excursions, meals out, afternoon tea etc. He will most certainly be spoilt! What a wonderful family.
