Jones the Crisp

Bit of a dull day. Cold, damp weather. Not much on my task list which didn't involve being outside.

Anyway... I did make gazpacho for the first time in ages. Delicious as well as cheap, quick & easy. Just not ideal when it's 11⁰.

I tried to watch a bit of the football - Wales v Slovakia - but it can be tedious when you're used to ice hockey. I had a good wee nap quite quickly, and lost interest after that.

Part of it is the "simulation" and the fact that nothing gets done about it. It's not unknown in ice hockey, but a 2 minute "sin bin" penalty if the ref doesn't like it. Reminded me of this...

No-one in Scotland applied for a licence to hold a street party to mark Betty Windsor's big day.

In a BBC Radio Scotland online poll, 97% said they'd be ignoring it.

I picked up a packet of crisps to eat while trying to watch the Wales game. They got Blipped. We need some Scottish crisps in a bilingual packet...

I can imagine the howls from the section of Scottish society which would like Gaelic to be extinguished permanently.
