Aston Clinton Ragpits

Aston Clinton Ragpits was once an old chalk pit, worked for chalk freestone or "rag" which was used for local building in Buckinghamshire.

Just three hectares in size, this nature reserve is close to Wendover Woods between Aylesbury and Tring, it has eight species of orchid and over 25 different types of butterfly.  A place to visit in Spring and Summer
