Not so 'damned elusive'

this Scarlet Pimpernel.
It's growing on our garden wall
and looking very well.

It was still asleep when I went outside to photograph it this morning. Had to wait for the sun to break through before it opened its petals for me.

Cooling wind this morning, but still sunny, thank goodness.
