Little Blue

Grey and incredibly humid. I considered a swim and went down to the strand but the tide was way out. I would have had to walk an awful long way out and then there would only have been weed. That's my excuse anyway. Actually it felt warmish. The Little Blues were flitting around busily on the grasses, always a surprise when they open their wings to reveal the blue within.

And Talpa was the first to suss out yesterday's cosmic abstract. It was of course one of the standing stones at Stenness - in fact the largest one in the circle. We did another late evening visit and the shadows were so long. They really do look different each time you visit them.
