View of Varenna

The day started a little overcast but it is still warm. A visit to the supermarket starts our day. After the supermarket we decided to take a ferry over to Menaggio. At first we thought it was going to rain so we stayed inside, then the sun came out so we we went out to the front of the boat. It was really quite hot but then, while crossing over from Varenna to Menaggio, it started to rain so we went back inside!

By the time we had arrived in Menaggio it had stopped raining. We had a nice lunch sitting outside in one of the side streets of Menaggio, before returning to the main square for an ice cream. (In my case it was the second ice cream as I had a Tartufo Bianco at lunch). We got the 4:30 bus back to Lenno. The sun was shining and it was again quite hot so we stayed in the garden until it was time for dinner.
