Avon Gorge

Looking down on the Gorge towards Hotwells from Clifton Suspension Bridge with the tide on the turn. We often speculate on why the locks were not put in to create Bristol's  floating harbour at the mouth of the Avon as it enters the Bristol Channel. Well ,not often just occasionally and when we are walking with friends as we were in this case.
