Liverpool's Chinatown Gateway
As we walked to the hotel we passed this impressive structure. It is a fairly recent addition to the city being built in 2000 to commemorate the oldest European Chinese community and the regeneration of the area. It was constructed in Shanghai and transported across to be assembled in Liverpool.
Having dropped off the luggage and checked in we then had time to visit both cathedrals and the Georgian Quarter.
