Weeding required

Walking up to my voluntary job on a Thursday I pass a building that was a school house many years ago, it is now two houses. It looks a little like a church and has a bell but it was never a church and the bell was the school bell.

Not so long ago the bell was painted and now looks black and fresh. Every time I walk past I always wonder why they did not take down the weeds which are in the brickwork at top of the bell tower. I am sure they had a good reason but I would love to get up there and do some weeding.
