Day 160 First Bean Flower

Here is the very first flower on the bean stalk.  A day of great rejoicing/relief at this sign that the plant is holding it's own, if not thriving.

My grand daughter Lily brought this plant home from school in a little plastic drinking cup and she was anxious to water it at every opportunity. I rescued it by bringing it home to my garden and planting it in a special pot for a special plant. Lily was reconciled to the bean stalk moving to my house by my promise that she could Skype the plant to check on progress.

I am so very pleased that it is still alive.
