Boogie boarding

G was going golfing in Parksville today and asked if I wanted to go along.  He knows how much I love the beach there.  It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm with a cooling breeze.  There were groups of school kids playing all kinds of games on the beach.  Some boys were boogie boarding, and their game was to see who could ride the farthest.  This boy won.  The boy in the extra had impressive balance on his board.  I always feel weird taking candid photos of kids, and I did get a few looks from parents and teachers, but these were okay because we can't see their faces.
I had a lovely time wandering along the boardwalk, people watching, then sitting on a bench and reading until it was time to pick G up. We had a delicious supper at the golf course.  Great to have a day with nothing to do except relax and enjoy!
