Extreme measures

I was testing my camera again, this time with the flashgun, tinkering around with different settings and seeing what difference using fill-flash would make to outdoor people shots.

James however is exceptionally sensitive to the very high pitched whining noise that the flash gun makes as it is charging/cycling between flashes. He is also the same way with the high frequency sound emitted from the cat-scaring device at my grandma's house. These noises, both of which I can hear, but not loudly, apparently really cause him some discomfort. So, in order to stand outside with us, Corin gave him his ear protectors!

Tonight, he is not well - he went downhill rapidly this afternoon, and mid-way through his guitar lesson he had to stop as he went green. So he went to bed early.

Poor thing.
