Bathroom Rose

The flowers throughout our (for six more weeks) yard in Patzcuaro are amazingly colorful, intensely deep reds, yellows and oranges set against dark green foliage. My wife tells me these are ordinary flowers, ordinary meaning ones we could grow back in Washington, not the exotic tropical flowers we have grown comfortable with in the coastal lowlands. Her comment caused me to think about how to capture these blossoms in a more unique way than just a straight photograph. Shot through our bathroom window after taking a hot shower provided the difference for which I was searching. No Photoshop here, just a little blurring from a fogged up window.
