Buttercup yellow

Beautiful sunshine (and hot) walking the dog this morning over the country park. Lots of buttercups springled in the wild grasses, with heads up to the skies. Managed to just about avoid the lady whose dog took a disliking to lili a few weeks ago. Poor lili very hot on our return home.

This evening went on a two night workshop (second part next Tuesday, as we've got homework!!) with my lace/sewing buddy - usual thing, buy lovely fabric, cut it up, see it together again and press...... Nice result though, using downtown abbey fabrics mmmmm :)

Back home to try and make my sewing machine better - thought it was the bobbin but stripped that down and oiled it, changed the needle still no change! It was as simple as making sure the top thread was threaded correctly that resolved the problem - quick re-sew of my block from Friday to make it 12.5" square - all done.
