Sweet Columbine

This little beauty springs up wherever she wants and gives a good show.

Work today was dreaded and started out badly, but after that I caught my tail and managed to get home only a small 45 minutes late.

My colleague Chris has been off for 7 weeks, so I tasked myself to collect some donations and signatures and bought a couple of bunches of flowers.  Sweet william and scented stock. I spent a few minutes arranging them into a box with a ribbon, cellophane reservoir  and delivered them to her. She asked if I had been tasked to go to the florist ? I didn't disallusion her.

She seemed pleased to see me and I was pleased to have a quick chat with her, while the Turkey tikka with homemade marinade cooked in the oven. 

Having fun with cooking is a surprising thing for me, but who knows, come September, I might go Cordon bleu.
