The Lesser Hatted Hibou!

Every spring we go on a "hunt" for Black Grouse,Tetra Lyre. Every year we hear them, see them in the distance, but never manage to get near them before the sun is up. I have no idea what they do during the day!

I thought Hibou looked like she was sitting in a bath of crocuses. She is actually standing on the other side of the ridge to me. We did get a great view of Mont Blanc (see extra) through the long lens, as the sun came up this morning, much less elusive than the grouse.
