People at Work #11

Ozzie is a very patient and  tolerant , resigned dog but in the middle of the night when Rudy, the little dog, growled at him from underneath the covers when he jumped on the bed, he was justifiably confused and just stood there with his nose on my leg. For someone who swore They would never have another dog sleep on the bed, I seem to have failed miserably...

Acre Coffee is my second favorite place for coffee. It's a total contrast in vibe and ambiance to the Dancing Goat. It is in a brand new space with lots of tables, only about five of which are outside. They don't have Aztec Mochas, but they are much closer to home.

The first time I met this barista she was very busy and I didn't want to distract her by asking if I could take her picture. This morning, however, I got a text from my Pilates/coffee buddy that class was canceled. After an exchange of texts, we noticed  that we were parked next to each other outside the studio texting away to each other without realizing it. We repaired immediately to Acre coffee. As we were walking out we encountered another friend so I walked back inside with her and took this picture.

My friend said, "I don't usually like tattoos but yours are particularly beautiful." The barista said, "That's what my mother says"....

Days that begin off kilter often never quite right themselves. I have spent most of the day making telephone calls and working out the logistics resulting from them. Not much was accomplished. I'm about to make my second trip across town on an errand that shouldn't require even one trip, and I suspect this is only the beginning….
