Orange Hawkweed

I joined a Monday walking group for the second week, this time to Lundie Craigs (see extra photo). I'm hoping the weather will be this good every Monday; they assure me it is!

I didn't know this flower, but all it took was to ask Google "small orange flower like a dandelion?" and I had the answer. It's also known as fox-and-cubs, devil's paintbrush, and grim-the-collier. 

I've been taking my new 60mm macro lens with me very day. I have been pleased to find that it makes a good general purpose telephoto, as it is smaller and lighter than I imagined. And of course, when I need a macro there it is.
