Who's an ugly duckling?

Not this one! I have never understood the Hans Christian Andersen story.
A) it's a cygnet, not a duckling. Learn your natural history!
B) it's not ugly, no way, no how, nowhere!
Another superb and scorching (for Scotland) day. Ali dropped in this afternoon with Euan & Eve and magnum ice lollies. Delicious, thank you Ali. Out came the toys and we all sat out the back on the patio in the shade. This evening after the heat had slipped a little, we took Rona off to the university campus and a stroll round Airthrey Loch. Those cygnets are growing well and are now at least as big as adult ducks. And those ducklings are almost as big as their parents but are not flying quite yet.
Tomorrow's forecast is for hot, sticky weather with the chance of heavy showers. If so, I forecast a few crunches on wet, greasy roads. Stay safe y'all!
