YELLOWS

We went for a walk around the cemetery to see if I could blip the Greater Spotted Woodpecker parents going into their nest to feed the youngsters. I've been trying for days, but they've chosen a very shady spot and today was the first time there's been anything like enough light. B got bored and wandered off and then strode back towards me, telling me something in a loud voice, just as one of the adults was making its way down to the nest hole and then thought better of it. I think I'll try by myself next time.

And I can hardly believe it's a year ago today since this lovely thing happened. Quite a lot has happened in my life since then.
