I took this when I stopped for lunch along Crib y Ddysgl, and if you look carefully there's a Mountain Rescue helicopter hovering at the right-hand end of the lake.
Today I'd intended to walk the Nantlle Ridge but I haven't done it before and since I was compass-less I decided to walk up Snowdon instead. I don't suppose I'd have needed the compass on the Nantlle Ridge with the weather being so fine, but I would have used it just to practise. So I went up the Miners' track and was going to come back down the Pyg, until I remembered it was a bit straightforward and opted for the traverse of Crib Goch instead.
I had thought that I'd never done it before, but once I was on it I seem to remember Dad taking Ian and I along it when I was maybe 12, with Mum taking the younger two along the Pyg track... or maybe they'd waited down by the lake. But perhaps my memory's playing tricks. Dad, send me a text about this please :-)
I've back-blipped yesterday's nibbling lamb, and I'll try and catch up with comments tomorrow.
