Bridge 142

I had to take my car in for service today. Handily the garage is next to the Shropshire Union Canal by Cheshire Oaks.

This is bridge 142, the Weaver's Bridge, built in 1795 and another Thomas Telford construction Don't be fooled by the tranquil looking scene. Just out of the picture, on the left, is a derelict factory with the noisy M53 beyond. On the right hand side there is a large Air Products factory and you can just see a pylon in the top left of the photo. 

I didn't see one boat today but there did seem to be mooring points so it must be navigable. It is also close to the boat museum at Ellesmere Port and the end of the canal.
