Post race entertainment

We were here to run a half marathon and the temp at the start was about 20C - nearer 30C by the end (how did the marathon runners survive, even starting earlier?).
Despite that I managed to pace myself to get round the mainly off-road course with a fair amount of climbing in under my hoped for time for a reasonable temp day (2:45) so well pleased with that.
Post race this guy, Pete Lashley, (who'd dropped out of the marathon at 30K because of the heat - and quite a few other dropped out of both, mainly for the same reason) entertained us as we sweltered in the sun waiting for prize-giving. None for us today, I'm not quick enough and Mr Rat didn't get round as his rib (cracked a couple of weeks ago) was sore so no 60+ winner this time round.
No time for commenting but yesterday's dusk is up.
