A View Through The Port-Hole Window
This is the view from our kitchen window, which is a port-hole window but because the veranda is so deep its hard to get a clear shot, but this will have to suffice.
We didn't venture out much today, it was cold and wet, we were waiting in for Sara & Cobey to come along to collect Effie (their dog) who has stayed with us for a couple of nights while they went off in the their caravan to Moore River with their two boys Jacob & Koen plus Jaxon their cousin in tow, we were looking through the window when we thought we heard their van pull up, but what a sight seeing these dark, rainy, stormy looking clouds rolling in over the ocean, the Ocean certainly met the sky we could hardly see it today.
Hard to imagine too, we were near the same ocean yesterday (at the Marina) when we heard sirens from 2 ambulances then we also saw 2 rescue boats were moored, plus police and TV crew???? it wasn't until we heard the news that evening that a 60 year old woman had just been taken from the reef 1klm from shore (we were sat looking at the same reef) she was taken by a 5mtr great white shark!!, poor soul, the 2nd tragedy by a shark in 2 weeks, the other was a 29 year old young man in Mandurah an hours drive away, this one is a little too close for comfort, the beaches are closed at the moment while they hunt the shark, good luck with that! they are calling the shark "the predator" personally i think we are the predators for entering into their space, sad for families concerned though..
