Drunken Fruit

Even the sweetest of fruit can sometimes bear a little alcoholic mellowing.  As odd relief from the 117°F heat, I spent time in the kitchen today, roasting bunches of sweet peppers and pickling apricots in brandy.  I'm forever grateful for the magic of refrigerated air!
