Gravel Pits
I had a very enjoyable hour this afternoon at the Gravel Pits a Wildlife Trust site. I’d primarily gone to see if there were any Water Lily on display and to my disappointment just one again. I did notice quite a number of buds so my hope is over the next week or so it will be a better display. I found a few Common Orchid waterside Iris and a pair of Swans. They were in a fairly inaccessible spot (the nearest I got was about 50 feet away) and I had to shoot through fairly heavy growth. They seem to have only one Cygnet. I am posting one of these images as my blip for today and in extra a Common Orchid and waterside Iris.
