Rerwick Beach

It's been a lovely sunny day, but that northerly wind is still blowing, still that wind is fairly drying the ground :)

A lazy morning to start the day but had to get up and out the door and off to work in the museum.  We've had plenty of visitors in the museum, mostly up for the car show.  I enjoyed a fine walk around Lerwick on my lunch break, plenty of classic cars zooming about in the sunshine.  After work, I rushed home to change and get out in the sunshine with Sammy.  After, I popped along my brother at Bigton and always glad to see the bairns.  A quiet night at home now.

Before I went to my brother's, I decided to head to the beach with Sammy.  Every time you go to Rerwick beach, you get it to yourself, well not today!  My sister-in-law Ruth was rowing there with niece Michaela and the Bigton rowing club, it was a nice surprise for me.  Ruth is pictured at the front of the yoal, with Clare Adamson and her mother Flo Bragg in the boat.  Looking down to the beach with other yoals pulled up and a yacht at anchor, across the bay is Sands of Scousburgh aka Spiggie beach.
