Mazel Tov!
Standing under a wedding canopy that had been made by the non-Jewish groom for his Jewish bride, this lovely couple is wrapped in the bride’s grandfather’s prayer shawl, the one that he took with him when he escaped the Nazis at the age of 15. It was a very poignant moment when the bride’s father read a Jewish blessing for them and the bride gave her groom a little kiss.
The groom broke the glass, but It was otherwise a non-religious, civil ceremony that was followed by a wonderful reception with lots of good food and dancing.
