Meadow pipit

It was a getting sorted sort of a day but obviously, time for a walk with Little Dog, where we enjoyed watching a goldfinch creating a beard out of wool and this meadow pipit taking good care not to head to its nest with a beak full of bugs while I was watching. It's amazing to think how many nests are on the moors that you simply never see.

And then it was a little bit of pondering and deliberating before choosing to heading up to The Lakes with Rich in the van. On the way, we spotted a deer on one side in the field and hares on the other.  We arrived at a lovely spot with a magnificent view as the sun was setting. There was a family there already on a boys trip in a rather smart looking converted horsebox, but how they park it or manoeuvre it through the country lanes, I have no idea!
