High water levels

Most time these shutters are closed to prevent too much water to flow out, but with the high water levels due to the bad weather in Germany and the south of Holland the rivers need to be able to go to places where it's better manageable. This river has three or four of such weirs, all open now for a couple of days.

I happened to come across this 1.25 minute movie on youtube to see the weir in "normal" days.
