The big walk

Thechimp and I took part in a walk organised by the churches in the Parish of Upper Tweed from Tweedsmuir to Skirling (23 miles) today. The walk started at Tweedsmuir at 9 am where we had bacon rolls. We walked down the Tweed to Drumelzier where we had a spot of lunch and then to Stobo and over the hills on the John Buchan Way to Broughton where we had tea. We then took the Drove Road to Skirling where we had more food! We recorded the walk by taking group photographs outside the Churches in each village. The picture is of us on the "last leg" to Skirling at about 8pm tonight.

It was a great day and the weather was perfect. We are exhausted!
