Emosson Dam, Switzerland

Most of the photos we looked at of this area showed bright blue skies and lakes...
Today it was more like a scene from a Bond movie. Very few other people had braved the tortuous snow lined road to get here, and we were virtually alone as we walked across the top of the dam.
Ibex climbing on the rocky mountainside, and amazing views of golden eagles soaring below and above.
Out of this world.
And  it seemed fitting that there should be a little chapel perched on top of the hill,  the colourful stained glass and beautiful light providing a balance to the bleak landscape.
