A Feast of Motors
I (Chris) had a trip up the M40 to Motorfest in Coventry today where I met up with friend and fellow blipper MartinN. The city centre was filled with an array of cars, bikes, emergency vehicles and even racing trucks. The ring road was also partially closed to allow a mix of the vehicles to "exercise" their tyres! A good fun day out, it is on tomorrow too and entry is free.
One of the cars doing demo runs was the famous Rover-BRM gas turbine race car. A unique piece of British motoring history with a very unique sound. Even today the turbine howl sounds futuristic. Great to see it running in anger.
Annie went across to an afternoon party and had good fun chatting with friends and watching ever increasingly competitive and violent Swingball!
