We had a nice quiet morning, and walked to the lovely village of Yarpole where they have a community shop and café in the church. What a brilliant idea  and a great use of community space. (Not to mention scrumptious home-made cakes.)
This afternoon we went to Croft Castle and walked around the parkland and beech forests for about 3 hours, not realising that there was a 40's weekend in full swing up at the castle. 
It was only about 30 minutes before closing when we stumbled upon them, but these dancers from "The Blitz Dancers" were still going strong. Soon the metaphorical sirens sounded, and it was time to go back to the (almost) 21st Century.
