King King

So good they named them twice, as I overheard one of the event personnel remark!

This weekend is The British Acoustic Festival, held at Uttoxeter racecourse. I've never heard of it before, but apparently it's been running for several years.

There were 4 points for music and a load of stalls, all of which provided far too many photos for me to chose from, so I just went with the reason for my attendance so I give you King King!

We've been listening to them for a while now, having heard them on the Planet Rock radio station and then seen them live supporting one of our favourite bands ( Thunder ).

I arrived at midday and spent the whole afternoon there. Sav had to work, had a later then normal for a Friday finish then got stuck in traffic so only arrived about 6.30pm.

Fifteen minutes later I got a call from Emma and her partner Adam, who had also arrived. Adam now works for the company who supplied the loos, so he'd come to check them.

With everyone assembled in time, King King came on and Alan Nimmo's announced in his lovely Glaswegian accent that " we're not playing acoustic! ", which was met with great approval by those of us who were already familiar with their music!

After the set, he came out to sign CD's and was happy to pose for photos too.
