People on a Bridge

Bronze

This week's photo challenge is Bronze. I was probably overthinking it, and sought the actual alloy, rather than getting all metaphoric. After pondering my environment at the university to no avail, I remembered these two guys, on my home bookshelf. An antique store find, they set me back two dollars each. In general, I try really hard to not acquire "stuff", but these two had really intriguing proportions and a certain roughness that implied a human hand, rather than mass production. I may try a better shot tomorrow; today you get what you get, courtesy of my cell phone camera.

Second day of class was rough. My 3-5 pm students were half-dead, and the weirdly proportioned and windowless classroom with chairs bolted to the floor does not help. I will have to get creative, or these will be the longest 4 weeks of our collective life. I am thinking about teaching the class outside, somehow!
