Swings and Roundabouts

The fickle world of television. One minute they're all over you like a rash wanting to film a fairytale castle, the next the castle scene has been cut from the script. Ho hum. Moving on...

After a fairly productive morning, (mainly planning for the filming recce on Monday that was later cancelled - refer to earlier comment - and checking permissions for another drone filming shoot in a couple of weeks), I took 3 hours of lieu time this avo to meet my best pal from uni and her two toddlers visiting the Castle.

The excitement of riding on Elsie the Land Train for a four year old is a sentiment so powerful that words cannot do it justice here. Clearly I need to focus my editorial more in the train's direction in future!

Lunch, ice cream, playground and Black Swan ferry ride later and a four year old little girl was so in love with the Castle she had a little tantrum about leaving! Meanwhile (almost) 2 year old little bro was happy chasing geese and riding on the swings.

My best pal and I managed a bit of a catch up over take away coffee while being run ragged by the little ones. Ever a challenge to attempt to finish a sentence with a four year old chattering away...

"Auntie Sam can I feed the ducks?"
"Auntie Sam if you work here what does your badge say?"
"Auntie Sam does a real princess live in the Castle?"
"Auntie Sam you are so lucky to ride the train every day!"

Oh to be four again...
