Fire Break

It's amazing to see how the fire jumped across this path without touching the grass at its edges. The new shoots of fern and now emerging from the blackened remnants of last year's cover. They grow at such a rate that this burnt bare hillside will soon be turned green again. I will have to report back in a few weeks with a shot taken from the same spot.
