Watching the ducks

2 grandsons today. The trip to the ponds to see the ducks went down well (9 large ducklings). There were also cygnets and lots of small birds, plus a coot and a moorhen, and a roe deer was hiding in the reeds.
The older one insisted we went to see how the road works were progressing (should be done soon) and we all went to the mobile library - the wee one wanted the thickest book he could find, he wasn't interested in the picture books!
This evening we were marshalling at the club's trail race, a beautiful evening for a run and the rain previously forecast didn't happen so I had to water the garden again.
Away for a few days so there will be a break in blipping and not much commenting
