MR K'S BACK...
...James K. arrived back in Brussels today.
The man is quite a phenomenon - I first met him in1981when he was playing in a friend's "house concert". He was raised in California & after college he drifted North through Oregon & Washington states, ending up as a salmon fisherman off the coast of Alaska - brrrr...
Then he went to Spain to study classical guitar (as you would) & ended up playing guitar concertos with top orchestras all over the US.
He hated that life & came to Europe finding he could earn better money busking & selling his cassettes to eager punters. Three months in Brussels, three months in the South of France another three in Brussels - then three months in a hut up a mountain in one of the Canary Islands to study in absolute peace & transpose Bach, Scarlatti &c. for guitar.
Then he disappeared to Mexico to become a "Gringo Seco" (Wet-backs?) mountain guide.
At present he lives in Brittany & has become a very serious sculptor in wood - he's playing tomorrow evening - with a bit of luck you'll see a bit of his concert!
