New Zealand Daisy

It has come into flower over the last couple of days and is just beautiful.

We had a sad morning as we said goodbye to Geoff, a country dancing friend, who died recently.  Geoff was an Englishman who had embraced 'Scottishness' and was very keen on Scottish Country Dancing.  His family were mostly still in Manchester, three sons and a daughter, and he had a partner up here but was very proud of his children and grandchildren and kept in touch regularly. 

The service was a humanist one, and lots of little stories about Geoff were told, words of his children, grandchildren and friends.  We then gathered at a local hotel to continue celebrating his life with more thoughts and memories.  He will be missed.

Today should have been a lunch date for me with my forever friends, but we moved it to an afternoon for coffee, which turned out to be an afternoon for wine!!!

Have had little time or inclination to take pictures, to be honest, but nipped out to the garden for this blip.

The day was beautiful, 22C and sunny.
