Grassland

This is an atypical post: the subject of this photo is usually the background of many photos. This is where the critters I look for live.

This afternoon there was an interesting little sparrow which preferred running through the grass rather than taking flight, a Henslow's sparrow. It finally flew and after getting into a territorial tangle with a savannah sparrow, it disappeared into the reeds.
